we feel pretty strongly that meals out should be a social affair and we want you to spend time laughing and chatting, not buried in a russian novel sized drinks menu. to this end, we keep our lists tight and take our lead from the food menu, what we love to drink and small producers who we’re super excited about
the drinks lists change every time we have a good idea, so here’s a snapshot of some of our current favourite things:
pre dinner: that escalated quickly
in our opinion the perfect way to start a meal. gin, campari, white port, red capsicum & thyme syrup and a splash of tonic water
cocktail: get to the chopper
on from day one and still our favourite. a whole load of rum, a whole load of bitters, acidized pineapple and toasted coconut cream
beer: garage project ‘pickle beer’ cucumber sour
superb beer, extra refreshing and a rare and wonderful gift to those who (like us) enjoy their sours on the less fruity side
non alcoholic: grapefruit presse
fresh citrus juice, our house grapefruit, almond & star anise cordial, sparkling water
wine: harrison ‘sol blanco’ roussanne, grenache blanc
swoon-worthy in the extreme, muscly roussane, flamboyant grenache and a whole lot of soul make this ode to the south of france top of our list
after dinner: ‘nightcap’ negroni
perfect after dinner sipper. campari, rosso, frangelico & cynar all topped off with a light grating of bitter chocolate
